A Bachelor of Commerce, abbreviated as B.Com is an undergraduate degree in commerce and related subjects. The course is designed to provide students with a wide range of managerial skills and understanding in streams like finance, accounting, taxation and management. B.COM Course is spread over to three years. The subject at B.Com involves more than just mastering the art of doing business. The subject brings students abreast with the corporate culture and prepares them for their professional life.
A candidate for being eligible for admission to three year integrated course leading to the Bachelor of Commerce must have passed Std. XII Examination conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with the following subjects:
Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology.
Any three subjects from among the subjects mentioned below:
- Book – Keeping and Accountancy
- Co – operation
- Organisation of Commerce and Management
- Mathematics and Statistics
- Secretarial Practice
Any one optional subject carrying 100 marks.
Those who have passed an examination of another University/ Board or Body Recognised as equivalent thereto.
