Mr. Subhash Ghai

Mr. Subhash Ghai is an eminent Film Maker, Director, Producer, Screenwriter, and a Lyricist in Hindi cinema, also popularly known as the Showman of Indian Cinema.

He made an enviable record of making the maximum number of blockbusters in mainstream cinema from 1975 to 201.

His evergreen films are still popular and often hit the small screens including films like  *Kalicharan’, ‘Vishwanath’ Maeri, Karz, Vidhata, Hero, Meri Jung, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Saudagar, Khalnayak, Pardes, Taal, Yaadein, Kisna, Black & White and Iqbaal. *

Mr. Ghai has been the source of inspiration for many young filmmakers even today. In 2001, Subhash Ghai was the first producer in 100 years of Indian cinema corporatizing the film industry by making his company Mukta Arts Ltd. as the first public listed company. In 2006 he was the first filmmaker who established a world-class film school of creative performing arts known as WHISTLING WOODS INTERNATIONAL which is one of the top schools in the world.

Subhash Ji has been Honoured with various awards by numerous institutions at the various platforms of social, education, economics and media, and entertainment. Today, he is known as a legend, mentor, and an educationist in the field of arts, aesthetics, and entertainment.

In 2015, he received the IIFA Award for outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema.  ”Iconic Brand of Award of Indian Cinema” by Economic Times – Edge in 2018 to name a few.

He is currently the Honourable Chairman of Skill Council of Media and Entertainment under the ministry of Skill Development, Govt of India, and initiated a most valued and unique public movement called VIDYADAAN- A Guru-Shishya platform to share knowledge and experiences with changing times.
